Entrepreneurs is ran by Rob, Andy and Tom — we are three Staffordshire-born gentlemen who aspired to create something we saw missing in the city we live in. We believe in urban culture, we believe in the people in the culture, and we believe in ourselves as vital cogs of that culture in our city. We aspire to be catalysts of creative urban culture, so that the individuals in the periphery have a beacon to navigate towards, an organisation to identify with, so that the culture grows bigger and further than just ourselves, until the network of cogs in the culture work well without us — but ten times better with us there.

We want to lay foundations in the city so that the culture can flourish in the future and individuals can relate to something that we didn’t have. We are flying the flag for graffiti, street art and streetwear in the city like it is across other parts of the country. We are championing creative crafts and expertise as something to embrace and maintain. We are here to start something. We believe that our target market will relate to what we are aiming to accomplish.

People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.

This mission is achieved through a retail store at the forefront. Entrepreneurs is the umbrella, and underneath that sits projects, initiatives and events that all drive forward our reasons ‘why’, whilst bringing attention to the store, whether it’s online, on the street or through the front door of the building.

The store sells premium branded street-wear alongside a small range of emerging clothing brands from throughout the UK and world. There will also be a variety of other stock that includes footwear, bags and accessories, spray paint and graffiti art products, magazines/publications and vinyl figures. Wall space on the shop floor and gallery is used to host exhibitions from local and international artists. The shop, gallery and workshop area has enabled Entrepreneurs to become a creative hub within the Cultural Quarter of the city of Stoke–on–Trent.

We also aim to continue to work with the City Council and other local authorities and businesses to develop Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas involvement in current cultural trends through high profile events and art installations across the city.

We set up and continue to maintain the only fully independent legalised, sheltered graffiti area outside of London. In association with the Highways Agency and the Stoke-on-Trent City Council, we enabled this facility to come into fruition over two years ago, and it’s still a place to freely paint to this day. It is our job to keep this area clean, accessible and a safe haven for the writers of the city, UK and beyond.

New Horizons is a project that will bring boundary-pushing and cutting edge street artists to Stoke-on-Trent. With a meticulous strategy and through the rejuvenation of blank — and often miserable looking — walls around the city, the Entrepreneurs Store owners curate locally, nationally and internationally renowned street artists to create artworks that will aim to engage with the public...
